Whinge along with Mitch

Haven't been following the great Mitch McConnell secret tapes scandal closely. I'm not shocked to learn GOPers gather together to plot dirty tricks. Hell, it's one of the few things that both sides really do. And now that Progress KY have been outed as the perps, Mitch will be dining out on this horrible (worse than Watergate!) infringement of his privacy by evil librul fascist commie DemocRATS forever. Rubes at home love that talk. Think it's going to hurt the Democratic side more than it helps. Much like their previous attack on Mitch's Chinese wife.

Only thing that might salvage this disaster and actually hurt McTurtle is if McConnell staffers conducted oppo on government time.

The DC-based watchdog group, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics and Washington has asked the FBI to investigate.

CREW officials said the audio recording obtained by Mother Jones magazine raises questions "whether Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY), violated federal law and Senate rules by misusing Senate staff or resources to conduct opposition research on potential campaign opponents."

Not going to get much help from the media on that one. CNN is wondering did the guy say "thank them three times" or "thank them for their free time." Reminds me of old comedy routines. Only I don't feel like laughing.
